Dodgers @ Rockies July 4, 2013: So Long, Colorado

There’s just good news all around, isn’t there? Carlos Marmol cleared waivers and will head to Camelback Ranch for some workouts before joining an as-yet-unnamed minor league team. Carl Crawford, as expected, will join the team in San Francisco tomorrow, making this hopefully the last day for some time that we’ll see Mark Ellis atop the lineup. And Yasiel Puig, despite a scary looking collision with the right field wall last night that caused him to come out of the game, is back in the lineup, hitting second.

Anyway, enjoy Independence Day, friends. I’m out of town through Sunday, so posts for the next few days are going to be sparse whenever I can grab internet access. Know that I’m in no way disappointed to not have to watch yet another game in Coors Field.
